I recently purchased a used, acrylic tank. I would like to buff the tank in advance of setting it up. There aren't any deep, noticeable scratches, but I think that buffing it would make it look newer. Any recommendations for how to go about doing this? I would like to avoid using any unnatural substances (ex- I saw a video on YouTube where someone used a headlight restoration kit) out of fear of contaminating the water when I ultimately fill the tank.

Thank you!

actually, the novus is a good option. just wash it off real good.

Novus is the best. Clean the tank thoroughly and watch a video or two on you tube. You'll find several.

Thanks, Matthew. Just watched a YouTube video on it and purchased the polish. One additional question- will I need to rinse the inside of the tank at all after I finish? I just don't want the polish to contaminate the water I ultimately put in the tank....

I always rinse them really well when I'm done. You will have residual polish in the tank. Get yourself some plain me clean magic erasers. They work wonders too. Just get the plain ones.

Perfect. Really appreciate the help!!! Thanks again!
