Hi all! I’m looking to add a few more reef safe mid-water fish to actively swim around the tank and I’m looking for suggestions. I’m not sure I want to go with clownfish, dartfish or true damsels due to past experiences. I currently have:

Royal gramma
Ruby Longfin Wrasse
Banggai Cardinal
Red Scooter Dragonette
A few small neon/yellowline gobies

If anybody has any thoughts on some good additions that would work with my current stocking list and tank size please let me know!

I would suggest:

Pajama Wrasse (Kind of aggressive)
Fire fish (Pretty shy)
Disco Blenny (Has a bite similar to a bee sting)

These are a few I could think off the top of my head, you could try some small damselfish or a pygmy angel as well.

Thank you for your suggestions. I was looking into the fang blennies to see about temperament and activity level. Want to make sure they are out and about. I’m not sure the other options would work, I may be maxed out on wrasses, fire fish have always been too skittish, damsels are too aggressive and the angel id be worried about with my acros. Glad to hear a fang blenny as a suggestion though!

Going off just the title of the thread, I'm going to say send it to me. I love IM tanks.
How about a Orchid Dottyback. After they get settled in they're always out and about.

Lol that’s funny. It is a nice little tank. Very different than my old 180g. I thought of an orchid dottyback too but I was wondering if I should double up on purple between him and the gramma. Stocking a small tank is definitely interesting o_O
