Hey everybody, Merry Christmas!
I have a $400 dollar budget to upgrade my tank.
I need a new tank and a stand, the tank preferably in the 15-25 gallon range, any suggestions?

Is the $400 just for the tank and stand or for all your gear?
What type of setup do you want, all in one, sump, hang on equipment, etc?
Is there a footprint this is going in or configuration such as a corner or peninsula that you'd like?
What is the potential stock your looking at?

To me I kind of work the opposite and decided stock and where the tank will fit and then the size and shape lead to a hundful of acceptable choices, hence the questions.

Happy Christmas!!

I just need a stand and tank I have everything else that’s I’m going to transfer over from my current tank.
I am looking for an all in one tank, I have about 2 feet of space for where I want to put it.
As long as the light can fit, so any tank within 18-24 inches it should work.
Sorry I’m very specific. :p

You're probably going to be short on the stand as they usually aren't cheap but you can get a great AIO from Fluval, Waterbox or Innovative Marine for around $250-400. You should also look into Fiji Cube as well.

If you have the time and willingness to try, I would do a DIY build! You get the exact dimensions you want, and nothing beats the thrill of watching a build come together... Ever considered it?

I absolutely have, unfortunately I’m in high school so I don’t have access to recourses and supplies to build one, nor do I know how.
I agree though that would be the best option.

I would pick up an innovative marine tank they usually are budget friendly but like others mentioned you might be short on the stand. Keep an eye out on your local forum or craigslist lots of tanks for sale.
