Suggestions for stronger magnetic Kalk stirrer

I built a 4”x24” reactor for dosing Kalkwasser but the 3000ml magnetic stirrer I purchased is just not very strong. It will stir a measured 3000ml of straight water but I don’t know if it will work when I add Kalk. It won’t stir if I put over a gallon of water in the tube, the magnet vibrates and goes over to the side. I probably will cut it down to get it to a 3000ml volume and see how that works but was hoping to find a cheap but stronger magnetic base.

not spinning should have not much to do with the volume>. does it work with less volume?

It spins with 3000ml, even 4000ml at a lower speed, but wont spin at 5000ml.

It should work

I just found out that the limits I stated were with a 1.5” cross magnet; if you use the 1” straight magnet that comes with the stirrer, it will stir 6 liters.

Might be hitting the limits of cheap magnetic stirrers. It will also have to contend with the resistance from the kalk slurry.

What about getting a motor mounted up top to rotate a shaft to mix up the bottom?

I found one at http://stirstarters.com/ it will do 5 liters.
