I'm looking into skimmers for the 300 and I keep coming across the

Reef Octopus REGAL Internal Protein Skimmer REGAL-200INT
Does anyone have any opinions on this skimmer????

Never had that skimmer, but the reviews on BRS and youtube look good. Only thing I can see as a potential problem is the skimmer isn't rated for that size tank unless it is a lightly stocked tank with a light bio load. I would go bigger IMO easier to turn the skimmer down if need be can't really make it work better.

Yes, certainly go bigger. What size is the skimmer chamber in your sump?

I have 17" from side to side, and 20" high unless I remove the brace from the 75 that I'm using to fit a bigger height..

I have an older Reef Octo in my 75. Consider going bigger if you have the room.

I actually had it on my 300 deep. It was a great skimmer. It was a little finicky to find the sweet spot at first but once I did it skimmed like crazy.

After digging a little more, I have figured that skimmer won't fit in my sump. So in doing a little more searching I've come across the AquaMaxx ConeS Q-6 In-Sump Protein Skimmer. Any thoughts? Looks like it will fit in my sump.

Sicce pump is nice. It’s a huge skimmer. I wish it had a DC pump. They are nice when you’re trying to dial in that sweet spot.
