Looking a wrasse or maybe a Midas Blenny for my 40 breeder, have to be compatible with a pair of ocellaris clowns and a wheelers shrimp goby.

I thought melanarus wrasses were a little too big, + not really reef safe?

40b has about the same dimensions of a 50 gallon.(its one inch shorter). They are coral safe, they are not 100% invert safe, my related wrasse has left my pom pom crabs, hermits and snails alone. this is not always the case. But most of the time all but the smallest of shrimp are safe, but no guarantee. If want 100% reef safe look at a pink streaked wrasse. Great personality, great colors and still eats pests.

Any way 2 blennys can coexist?, I’m starting to fall in love with the Midas blenny, but I also like a tailspot and a blackline.

Sometimes depending on the species. Tailspot and midas will more than likely not work. I love my tailspot but midas blennies are also awesome. If you want more color go midas
