The magnetic frag racks that look like rocks are very expensive I wanted to break up some live rock and glue it to an acrylic magnetic frag rack that I have and make my own. Has anyone else done this that can offer any tips? Kind of want to build that and put two or three different types of zoa’s on there and stick them on the back wall and watch them go crazy
I want to make it look like this

Grab an old beat-up mag float, and epoxy the rock to it, I've even seen it done with marco rocks mortar before. I've glued eggcrate to mag gloats myself too.

I took a small nano cleaning magnet and used epoxy to attach 3 or 4 pieces of rubble to the wet side and it has held up for over a year. I have a Xenia colony on it so most of the rock is hidden anyway. U might look into doing something like this with an old magnetic cleaner as I’ve been very happy with it.

That was easy

Hopefully the zoa’s will cover it and run up the back

That'll work perfectly (so long as the magnets never lose seal and rust). The zoas will definitely take it over and you will never see the rock again (in about 6-12 months)
