Suggestions on how to keep bare bottom clean?

I have a 100g, 4 foot aquarium that I am planning on going BB. I would like to know how others keep their BB clean? I'm guessing powerheads are used, and curious as to how many and what kinds, placement, etc, please? Or any other ways to do this?

Placement of the powerheads need to be as it will create a gyre in the tank. Any dead spot may collect debris that can be syphoned out during a water change.

I'm wondering what size powerheads? Width is 24 inches.

The size really depends on what kind of coral you want to keep. I also have BB and 3 powerheads to create a gyre in the front of the tank where detritus collects - easy to syphon during a water change.

By clean do you mean free of detritus or free of other growths? Either way, manual cleaning

Right now I'm looking at having 2 Icecap 3K Gyres on the sides. FOWLR to start, probably about 5-6 months, with about 125lb Marcos Rocks. Tank dimensions are roughly, 48 x 24 x 20.

Do you think that powerheads with flow up to 1,000 gph are about the right amount of flow for detritus?

Clean up crew, powerheads, and water changes every other day. I had a small 30 gallon BB tank a few years ago and used to syphon out a gallon every other day, trying to collect as much detritus as I could. Didn’t have to do it as much when I got a larger CUC
