Suggestions on Tank, Clown Type, and Anemone Type

My wife and I have been keeping a 40B mixed reef for about 2 years now with very little issues, during that time we got a pair of clowns and long story short one died. We thought about trying to introduce a second but decided against it due to fear of another murdering.

We have been kicking around the idea of setting up another tank, I wanted to reach out to see what everyones thoughts would be on Tank size, Anemone type, and clown type. I plan on doing a smaller tank with macro algae, clown pair and anemone only.

What are the suggestions?

Any particular tank style shallow, deep, etc...

I think cube tanks work really well for a dedicated anemone tank. You can build the rock-work in the center, and the anemone really becomes the centerpiece. The size is determined by the anemone you'd like to keep -- smaller for BTA and malu, larger for magnifica, gigantea and haddoni.

agree with the cube suggestion for a nem tank. 30 gallons should be fine, especially if it will be a dedicated clown/nem tank. I think there is a 30 gallon cube made by red sea that is really nice - kinda pricey tho.

I have a 20g Red Sea Max Nano as my Nem tank. Only one clown, but I have 2 BTAs and 2 Mini-Maxi carpets. I went with a single large rock with deep holes in it and they all stay happy and visible

I already have a rectangular aquarium (36"x14"x16")but can I still do a anemone/clown tank? Maybe a Gigantea or Magnifinca? I personally like giganteas?
