suggestions on ways to quiet my overflow box

Hey guys I got my tank up amd running and have been messing with this over flow box noise and cant find a solution. I first used 1" pipe throughout the drain and figured that didnt work so I upsized it to a 1.25" size and it still has a noise. As you can see in the pics nothing crazy just a simple piping I got off the internet. If anyone has a way to fix it im all ears. Thanks in advance and hopefully i can get this fixed so it stops driving me crazy.

I've never seen it arranged that way. Where's the noise coming from? Up top or down below in the sump? Is there an air vent up top?

The noise is coming from the top.
