Suggestions

Hi all, I have a 65 mixed reef with a 20 long sump plumbed into a 20 long frag tank. During the summer when I was on vacation, my uncle left the canopy to my tank open, and I had all four of my wrasse jump out. Since then I haven't added anything to my tank, I lost the bug for a bit but with winter I'm starting to get it back. I'm looking for a few suggestions as to what I could add to both the 65 and the 20. Amy recommendations would be muchly appreciated, just need something to get the bug going again! Thanks

I hate to say this but if your top is covered why not more wrasses? Maybe different types...

I think every tank needs wrasses. I also am a fan of firefish and dartfish. Royal grammas may be common, but are still very beautiful. I also am a fan of the crptic behavior of swales basslets.

Any suggestions for some wrasse? In the past I had a yellow coris, a filamented flasher, and mcskoskers flasher, and a carpenters flasher. I do love many of the leopard wrasses, but I'm worried about their feeding difficulties. Also love fairies, but wouldn't a 65 be too small their energy levels? Might have to give some thought towards fire fish, I've honestly never kept one in the 5 years I've kept reefs. I love grammas too, I actually have one in my dads 75.

Filamentosus, flavianalis, and mckoskers gives you a lot of bang for your buck for flashers, but my favorite flasher is attenuation.

I haven't found feeding to be the biggest issue with leopards, rather shipping stress and internal parasites. If you can source one from an LFS and treat, they do much better.

Smaller species of Cirrhilabrus will work, such as lunatus, cf. lanceolatus, and lubbocki.

I've never been able to find attenuatus locally, they are really nice though. My absolute favorite flasher is octotaenia, but the price tag is holding me back, but everyone has to have a dream fish they can look forward to. I might have to put more thought in for a leopard, I'll keep a look out for a healthy individual at my lfs. I've never kept cirrhilabrus since the tank is only 3 feet, do you think that'd be enough territory for 2 similar species?
