Hello i have reefer 250, so a 65 gal. I have questions about sulfur reactors/denitrifiers. I wanted a longer term and better way to reduce nutrients. I know the real draw back is lowering dkh, but im planing on dosing alk by its anyway and watching it via neptune trident. What are some good ones out on the market that are for smaller aquariums? And what media do you put in them?

Hi, there isn’t many to choose from
Deltec has two sizes, I use aquamax but is not available anymore. Deltec also has media, I have been using 99% sulfur from eBay 99.9% would be best. Also need good pre filter I feed mine with vortech dosing pump but regular pump would do.
Read all about before installing.
Best NO3 reduction in my opinion, I tried several different methods.

My first denitrator was a BRS canister filled with 50/50 sulphur & Arogonite. I highly recommend a good needle valve. Now I'm using a Korallin 1501. An ORP probe will help you monitor.

I used the the aquamaxx reactor and it worked excellent. After a couple of years, I got tired of the alk depletion and trying to modify my dosing. This was before Trident. I might be willing to try it again but I seem to have it under control with chaeto and occasional vinegar dosing.
