Summer approaches - heat and water temperature

As the temperatures start to increase and summer is around the corner, my tanks temperature is currently at 82 deg F, which is higher than I want. I have AC running with the thermostat at 77 deg F, but still the water temperature remains at 82 - strange.

Tank is small 20 gallon cube. I'm wondering if I get a pair of them 120mm computer fans, and mount them on top of the mesh lid would it cool the water down.

Reaching out here for anyone that have used fans blowing across the surface to bring down temperatures.

Yes a fan on your tank will bring the temp down with evaporation. But also make sure that you keep your ato filled as it will be using more.
