Sump addition ideas

Hello guys, I just bought a 4 years old tank from marketplace today and it was coming with this 25 inches long sump.

I know it's kinda small.
Skimmer: JNS ConeS Q-Series 3
Return pump: Eheim compactON 5000

I'll have 18 inches free next to it to add anything. I wanna know what would you do, beside changing the sump as an upgrade. I also have a PhosBan 150 reactor plugged next to it.

Is there a way to configure a refugium? Anything else missing in that sump?

We're in cleaning mode, don't think ima start this dirty dog tonight

looks fine to me, except for not having much room for chaeto. Ive never heard of a JNS skimmer, but if its a 'Cone S' then its a Eshopps skimmer, which are usually good quality. Id never trust an old/used return pump...

JNS is an equivalent to AquaMaxx as I read...Can I add a refugium next to it, moving the water in some way? I think it would be hard to do lol

If it were me i would use the 18 inches for an ATO container.

Would you use a bin or a 10 g for this? Which system is the best for Ato's?
