Sump advise

First time having a proper sump what am I missing from here ? I've got a UV going in once I've fitted a ply backing. Where should I be putting the filter media ? The tank is a 2nd hand aqua one 195l reef tank

Kind of an odd layout. If it were me I would put it in an area of decent flow like right where the water enters the sump. Is the chamber on the right a built in top off reservoir?

I have not seen a layout like this before, kind of hard to pick a spot. I agree with @JC1977

personally I would cut out all the interior panels and redo the layout...imho its horrible..do it right now before water so later you wont have to...just my 2 cents

Hi all thanks for the replies. Yes the chamber on the right hand side is a top off I beleive. Does seem an odd layout. I will see how much I can fit under the filter sock and then make a judgement. I wanted to put a small amount of live rock from my old tank in there as well to help with the good bacteria. Does this need to be good flow also or can this just sit somewhere happily
