So I'm fairly new to having a sump (2 months give or take), and I've notice that the baffles all look like crap and are covered in algae. I know having a sump / fuge is what helps keep algae from the main tank, but is it normal for algae to be all over the glass and baffle in the sump?
Thanks!

actually it's not all that unusual. Better in sump than display.

Hopefully you have a refugium section for macro algae.

also, just like in the display you can adjust lighting so macro thrive and the uglies die off.

or you just gotta clear it up now and then.
