Silly question, should the bubble trap go on the side where the bubble trap is or on the opposite side?

In other words is my sump turned around backwards if i am wanting to put my external return pump on the right side

this is important since i am getting ready to drill a hole in one of the sides for my external pump and dont want to cut the wrong side!
thx

In your picture the bubble trap is on the right side. The far right is normally is the return section. The pump goes after the bubble trap. Your overflow will go down to the left side. That bigger hole in the top (left side) is there so you can place a skimmer in the sump.

Thanks just wanted to confirm before I cut a 2" hole on the side...lol

The return pump goes on the right side. Though, based on your design, you may take the foot print and the neck of the skimmer in consideration. You may have issues to place the skimmer in the middle section and the left chamber may be too tight depends on your skimmer selections.
