Setting up a 280 gal with a sump and canister filter. How do others set this up? Separate or have the flow go from the sump to the canister then back to the tank? Any insight is helpful, thanks!

For the meanwhile, set them up separately. I have a feeling you may end up taking the canister offline. Generally, everything you cane get from a canister, you can have incorporated in the sump in a more convenient manner.

I agree. This isn’t my system, it’s being set up for a visitors center on a campus. They want both, I’m assuming they’re thinking there will be a high bioload.
