Hello I'm newer to the saltwater world and im looking for some info. I have a 29 gallon fowlr tank. I went from fresh to salt and im using the same 90 gallon hob filter with a 30 gallon protien skimmer. Was wondering about a sump. Thought about making one, looking for a all in one kit, using another hob filter with bio balls in it. Just need some thoughts and input please.

Welcome to R2R!
A DIY sump is relatively easy to do. Might want to check out the DIY section :)

How do you get the water to and from the tank?
This with an aqualifter for a non drilled tank (example size)

Perfect so I would be looking at $300 plus to do a sump then

BRS has a good RODI system of varying options and pricing. Unless you way overload it, a 90 gallon filter on a 29 will be fine with a skimmer. Add some rock in the tank and you will be all set.

Are these bad?

Are these bad?

Maybe, maybe not. It's hard to tell without actually having them examined. That being said, the duller colored ones are more likely to contain high levels of palytoxin. My suggestion is to not worry too much about it, but always exercise best practices when dealing with palys/zoas (gloves when handling and goggles when out of water).
