Sump baffles? Over -Under, Under-Over?

Just curious on others input on design.

Here is my sump and it works for my application. Its over into socks. Under out from socks. Then over into some spaghetti mat and under to the return.

I was going to say doesn't matter, matter doesn't ...... But I do actually prefer the baffle that feeds the return section to be an over so that any bubbles can stay at the surface. In my sump it's a triple: over/under/over.

FWIW I've never really felt the need to use baffles myself. The "stick" on my Ultralife Float Switch can be adjusted up or down if need be and if the skimmer needs to go up or down for optimal performance there's all kinds of things you can do to remedy this too.
I guess if a Refugium is a must they'll help, but I've never really been a big fan of those either. KISS. GL.
