Hi all

I’m working with a Modar marine sump kit for a 55G sump. I dry fitted the sump and I think I have everything

Am I too tight on the sections? Skimmer section is about 15in fuge is 19 1/2 in return is about 9 1/2. I could find measurements of sections for a 55g sump online so just wanted to double check before I siliconed

Another pic with the algae scrubber pump

Looks okay to me. ATO sensor/switch should go near the return pump.

Ah thanks [emoji28]. I have a tunze ATO so I should be good to go. Tricky part is the scrubber but probably going to make a pvc and acrylic stand to hold it it’s pretty big (8x12 inches)

Nice thing about a diy sump is you can space the sections and baffels how you want them. I have the same kit for a 20L.

Put a bubble trap before the return. Space it a touch under 2 inches so you can put a 2 inch foam pad to keep macro out

How deep is your skimmer chamber. Check your slimmer specifications to figure out what depth the skimmer works best at and then adjust the glass to be that depth.

The sump operates at 13 inches but I purchased an adjustable skimmer stand from modular marine so I can change the height [emoji106]

Looks great then! Lucky you having such a large sump! I have a reefer 250 so I’m stuck with a small one.
