Anyone real good with siliconeing baffles in a sump? Or have any tricks? I have read a bunch of threads on how to but I can only get one really nice and the other not so good.

Use the back of plastic spoon. For a hard to reach spot in between baffles, use a plastic spoon super glued to a straighten out coat hanger.

Or take a old plastic card and cut a 45° angle on a corner and use it to spread the silicone to make a good bead

If you are trying to lift one use a stack of CD cases and painters tape to hold into place.

You can also cut a 2x4 piece of wood down the center without going all the way through (watch your fingers on the table saw) and then place the baffle in the new slot and it will hold it in place. +1 to using a spoon, I had a bunch of plastic spoons ready to go when I did my tank, instead of cleaning the spoon off I just grabbed a clean one.

plastic spoons, 1/2"tubing or a cut card for smoothing, small cuts of wood to hold the baffles up/apart, mask it off with tape, use dabs of super glue to hold the panels, electrical tape works well to hold things,

for the middle baffle, apply your bead of silicone and set the panel "into" it, then bead on the back side.
