So I got a good price on a 125 gallon tank had originally planned to use it for my DT, but it's just to beat up and scratched, So I decided to use that for a sump fuge setup in the basement. Got it all set up and put in my baffles, decided I wanted to get that running water though just to get that cycled since I can't start on my DT build just yet, I'm also impatient!
Anyway I hooked up my smaller external pump last night to get water flowing and threw a few rocks in to check how it flowed and I'm thinking I may have set up my first baffle incorrectly since the water is following way over, and I'm not really getting a good flow through the refugium, I'm realizing I probably should have gone with a gap under and a small wall to hold sand in place. 20180504_001010.jpg 20180504_001020.jpg
Let me know what you guys think would be the best thing to do here, I'm thinking take that baffle out and lift it a inch or so for water to travel under then use a 3" piece to hold sand bed in place.
