Hey everyone I’ve been kicking around with the idea to change my sump mainly because my current one is very compact and would like a bigger one to fit more reactors and also preferred to have a refugium.
Only thing is I’m very tight on space because I had my stand custom made and my tank is an 85 gallon hexagon shaped aquarium.
Here’s the one I have now:

I’ve attached a picture for reference on stand space.

Here’s the ones I’ve been looking at to change to:

I guess the first question to ask is if the three sumps you're looking at will fit in your cabinet.
Both of the 20 will fit just enough, the AF100 I would have to turn it and fit in the return area towards the back of the stand and drain towards the front

Between the two I'd go with the Fiji-20 sump. It's got two overflow drains, two holders for socks (which I'm assuming could also be used with a fleece roller), heater and dosing brackets and space for a good sized protein skimmer. And it's $50 less. But that's just my take.

Ive had Trigger and well built with nice chambers. Just switched to Bashsea and superb Contruction and compartments.
Trigger comes in various sizes as does Skimz series.

I keep hearing about bashsea and wondered if they’re any good for that price. The only reason I considered trigger as well is because I have their acrylic ATO reservoir on that same color as their sump so I figured I’d match them up.

Makes sense to match them up
Bashea may be the best sump I’ve owned. Got tired of drooling over them at shows

Rather than going in for a readymade one, why not get one custom made? Can plan for each equipment you plan to use.

Many good options and manufacturers.

My view though.

Thanks
