Hello
So I am going to replace my old sump and my dilemma is, how do you separate the pump to your skimmer or reactors? With my current sump there just happens to be a compartment that was for bio balls up stream from my skimmer output that I put the pumps in. Most of the new sumps have the skimmer section first with room for both skimmer & pump. Am I over thinking this? Do you run your skimmer and pump together not worrying about recirculating the same water back through the skimmer?
Thank you!

overthinking it, most skimmer feed pumps are connected directly to or even inside the skimmer, any water that's pulled back in the skimmer for a second pass isn't a big deal especially if you have sufficient flow through the sump system. Just make sure the output of the skimmer is downstream from the pump intake if you're at all concerned.

Yea that’s what I thought! But good advice I will try to separate the input/output within the same section.
Thanks
