Sump critters

Does anyone else have a sump full of beneficial critters like pineapple sponges, brittle starfish, filtering worms Etc. Or do people keep their sumps clean and clear of these?

No reason to NOT want those in your sump if you ask me.

I definitely scrape the front panel so I can enjoy viewing them, but I don't remove anything unless it's a pest or potential problem (like clogging a pump).

You just gave me an idea.. Would a pincushion urchin eat chaeto and or pom pom algae? Was thinking of putting one in my fuge section to control the undesirable algae that pops up.

Only other critters I have in mine are snails which I keep a close eye on since I've had a Florida cerith plug the intake on my skimmer in the past.

yes, I have pods & snails in sump, probably some starfish too but haven't really looked for them bc my sump's an ugly sight! lol
