Sump decision

i am thinking about converting my IM sr 60 aio into a sump system. it is currently a mixed reef. is this worth doing number 1. two what are some recommendations on a sump. the tank is currently 60 gal with a 45 gal display

That tank is pretty popular I wonder if you could sell it and buy a nice sump with the money.

I would just buy a tank that is meant for a sump. You will be losing alot of space if you drill the Sr60.
