So I have designed a sump and wanted to see what others’ opinions are in case I’m missing something. I plan to plumb a 240 gallon display and a 100 gallon frag tank into this sump (hence so many bulkheads).

The sump is going under the 240 which is a peninsula style tank. I am using Neptune probe holders so I didn’t include one of those.

If there is anything anyone recommends I’m all ears.

Thanks,

Nick

Planning for a fleece roller couldn't hurt.
I thought about one of those.. I ran filter socks when I started my current tank 8 years ago but they ended up being a nuisance. Been sockless for many years and my tank does well without them. Are there added benefits to having the roller vs nothing? I will have a powerhead in each chamber to keep things from getting stagnant.

Yes, it picks up a lot of the larger crap and generally results in a cleaner tank.

i would do filter floss for mf and make baffles ajustable

I recommend a refugium, for a stable pod population; you should go look at the design of Fiji cubes baffles. Maybe you could get some inspiration from them.

Like how they used that last baffle as extra protection against bubbles and other Debrees.
