Sump either keeps filling up or losing water

Sicce 3.0, with a ball valve for a 300gph overflow. Doesn’t matter how much I tune it, never settles. My back hurts, been here since 1pm, it’s 10:38. This is ticking me off more than Dino’s, I’m on the verge of quitting the hobby cause my sump is ticking me off. I had much more luck with hob gear but I’m tired of having a bum tank

I’ve had 1 HUGE flood lol. And I mean huge

Either your tank isnt draining properly or you pump is moving more water than you can drain. Picture of the sump and drains/overflows would help

It’s simple hob wit a 1 level sump. Just some foam to not have my chaeto go everywhere

I left the living room about 25 minutes ago and I don’t think the level dropped as much. So I probably tuned it right? I’m outside making a gurgle buster right now lol

Syphon systems like that can be a pain to get dialed in since they cant flow a ton and usually need a lot of extra water.

And quite lolol. Dial it in and making it quite is a pain, every time I change the silencer the sump level changes. I think ima just wait till tomorrow afternoon to keep on, every inhabitant in that tank is probably ticked off
