Sump equipment location advice

So I'm setting up my first reef tank. it's a Nano 10 gallon with a 10 gallon sump underneath. For the sump I'm using a DIY kit. I was hoping some one might be able to help me figure out an optimal equipment setup before I silicone it together. so far the only equipment I really plan on having in it are a heater, a skimmer, and a refugium.
