Hi All,

I've got the Red Sea sump set up on my Max S500.. wanted to get thoughts on how I have things laid out. Anything I'm missing, any other feedback? Thanks!

looks solid to me, I run a similar set up on my rsr170, the only issue ive ran into with marine pure spheres in the drain section of the sump is that they collect waste at a fairly rapid rate. I usually go in there and shake everything up with my hand and let it drain into a fresh sock about once a week, its incredible how much is in there

I thought about that, I was considering moving them to the plastic grates right before the return for that reason. Or building a little eggcrate box and putting them in the return chamber.

Moved the biospheres to under the grates and build a little egg crate wall to keep them from going to the return chamber. Definitely was a bunch of gunk in the drain section...

From about 2 weeks ago, nitrates are down from 25ppm to about 8ppm! Stoked!
