Sump/filter help

Hello!! I am so confused! I started a 46 bowfront in February and so far so good. I got a canister filter with uv light and I haven't had many problems. (Hair algae but that's my fault). I recently purchased a 125 and don't know what to do about filter. The cabinet underneath isn't very big, about 16L×18w and I could probably do 20h with room to spare but would that size filter my tank? I have so many questions I don't know where to begin. TIA for any help!

only 16l?? What kind of 125 is this tank?
That sump would help you out, run as large a section as you can with macro algae, and the skimmer in the 1st chamber, heater and return pump in the last chamber.
