Hi Everyone,

I've had a Evo 13.5 for about 8 months now and currently ordered a 14x14x36 (30G) tank from Advanced Acrylics. Would a Eshopps RS-100 be overkill for this tank or should I go with the RS-75?

This is my first tank with a sump so it's all still new to me. Also could someone recommend a return pump for this build as well. I'm building a custom stand which is 36" tall if that affects the flow needed for the pump

Thank you and Hopefully someone can help me out.

I would put the biggest sump that you can fit!

Is there any logic behind it, I mean i know more water volume ='s more stability. but besides that, any other reason for a bigger sump? (sorry still learning)

No worries, more stability like you said and more room for equipment as well.

I would agree- bigger sump, more equipment and much easier access for maintenance. If taking your skimmer out requires juggling and jostling other stuff around, you may be less inclined to clean it regularly for example.

HAHAHA I love this. makes sense! I guess the journey looking for a skimmer begins.
