Hi everyone. I'm researching way ahead of getting a 90g tank. I've been reading about sumps. I've never had one because I have a nano and a 36g fw. This is all new to me. If I want to build a sump using my 36g tank (it's a glass aqueon bowfront), would that work for a 90g tank?

12g Nanoreef. Zooanthids, Ricordia, Star Polyps, Acans and two clownfish. CF Lighting, 75% actinic blue, 25% 10,000k white.

I would think a bow-front would be a PIA to make into a sump. I also have a 90 and have a 40B as a sump. I don’t know if you have it in FLA, but we have sales up here for a dollar per gallon on new tanks. Here is a shot of my 40B sump:

Yup, the 36g would work for the 90g. But, the bigger the better. You stuff as much Sump you can get into the stand.
