I move every few years (let's say every ~2 years). I'm kind of scared of moving a tank even though the biggest thing I'll be getting would be something like a 40B with a 20 gallon sump or a Red Sea 250 because I've never done it.

Is it worth getting a setup with a sump (DIY 40 breeder with a sump, a Red Sea 250, or Red Sea 170) if I will be moving every 2 years?

I want one with a sump since it seems easier to maintain and most say they would never go without one, but I'm starting to really consider an AIO like the Nuvo 40 or a new Waterbox model that is their version of the Nuvo 40. Just seems a lot easier to handle the move but I might be overestimating or overworrying about having a sump.

I think a AIO tank would be easier to break down and move. Unless you really want a nice refugium or bigger skimmer I would go with a AIO tank. Make a pros and cons list of the 2 and compare, maybe that will help decide ;)
