Check your test kit for expiration date, and maybe buy some other test kits and compare them to each other and see which ones give similar readings to each other and have your Lfs test ur water and compare your readings to theirs . Again this is just my opinion but hope it helps

I did this before. 2 gallon plastic tote over my 25 gallon tank to hide all my guts. What I did was more or less reverse the normal. I had my tank as the 'sump' and put a hole in the real sump to the water level, then had a powerhead flowinng up to the sump. Worked great to be honest.

Right now my sump is on the floor next to my tank, just out there so to speak. I may try to hide it someday, but its low on my list and the fit is so tight that I cant just build a box around it. I would have to use a curtain to hide it.

o my god i calibrated my pin point PH Meater again and let the probe sit in there a long time and swirl and sit still in solution 7.00 for about 15 min and the same for 10.00 15 min or so with swirl and sit and did it like back an forth rinsing every time before putting in other solution and BAM ! Now i'm on time . it matches up with the test kit by Red Sea it just takes time to calibrate a probe .
