I’m trying to convert a 125g over to a sump but only have 40” x 11” x 15” max I can work with to fit a sump I to the stand wo major modifications. This is a freshwater tank not salt but I want to use a triton type sump. If need be I can go a little taller with out much work to the stand but the depth is what’s killing me. I thought about going with dual shallow tanks and building myself but really trying to look at purchased options as in long run the cost savings for most setups is break even and if I can not put in the hours to diy I’d rather not.

I know the a few like eshopps make wet drys I could repurpose that will fit but they are so short. I’d really rather get closer to the 40” length I have to work with then deal with a super short 28” designed for much smaller tanks as I want to incorporate a good turf scrubber setup where a fuge would normally go. I’m already $120 plus in to setup a decent size reactor as a scrubber in the stand so if I can replace my 3 canister filters and still do this I can actually come out ahead in cost as two are fx6 I can resell for more then a sump would ever cost me for this purpose. I’d rather not deal with custom and that hassle want just a simple store bought it simple to diy option at lest for the framework. Already priced glass and just building the frame alone from cheap glass isn’t worth it.
