Sump help

I have 29 gallon biocube and im thinking about trying to make a 10 gallon sump but im not sure how to go about doing it and what i would need

3 chambers is usually how people divide it up. 1) skimmer chamber 2) fuge (for growing chaeto 3) return pump chamber

Some simple baffles is really all ya need. You could buy kits like this to make one. Although DIYing is also a pretty straight forward solution.

As for overflow, there are kits for that as well. Or you could DIY/drill drains for that.

Also, a simple grow light and a clip-on desk lamp will grow chaeto quite well.

"Bean Animal" is the style of overflow most people like. Its quiet and, most importantly, the safest. (Redundancy ftw)
You'd drill 3 holes in the tank. Then either install bulheads or get a prebuilt box like one of these:

Im sorry to say but find a used tank or new. If your not satisfied with what you have or are a tinkerer then you will be upgrading soon after.
I have a 75 and stand I will be letting go for a hundred and for another 100 a nice trigger sump. you will spend that or more to do your conversion.
edit I tried to convert a 40 AIO and after two weeks of ajusting flow i bought the 75

Basic list for a sump add on is (non drilled) over flow box, tube for overflow box, sump, return pump, and a couple pvc pieces to get the return jet back online.
