My return pipe going into my sump is causing a lot of bubbling and foaming and is leading to water to spill out of the sump. Any ideas to help with the foaming/bubbling

I ran my down pipe into an coupler that up-sized (1 1/2" to 3") then ran a 3" pipe to the bottom of the sump. I put a bunch of holes in the bottom of the 3" pipe so all the splash was contained in the pipe and the water could only come out the botttom. I also put a small hole at the top of the elbow in the downpipe to keep it from air locking. Solved it for me.

That’s a brilliant idea. Thank you for the feed back.

I tried a dozen different setups for my sump intake. No difference. So what I ended up doing and really liking is I cut a piece of Lexan over the sump intake to keep the piping bubbles in the sump and reducing my evaporation dramatically. I was able to take my return pump from 30% to 50%. Feel good at 50%. Good water flow but not over baring.
