Sump help

I just set up a bashea sump w live sand and dry rubble rock
Will the rock go through ugly stages also

Hi I have lots of algae growing in my first chamber due to a grow light for my thriving chaeto, other chambers are ok.

I have rock rubble with algae and snails in the sump

If you suspect your algae is growing out too much you could. But otherwise I think it’s better to have algae growing in your sump/fuge rather then the DT. But if there’s no food for the snails they might die. I send bad hermits that pick on corals to the sump for some solitary confinement lol
