i built mine own. Get the appropriate size glass tank, you can buy pre built baffle kits on ebay (I did and it was great) and aquarium silicone. A lot cheaper this way

I’m really hoping that Trigger Systems will stand behind their $500+ plastic boxes but will probably make my own if they don’t. Picked up a 40 gal livestock tank that I’ll temporarily use.

Thats also a good plan because - sometimes if you attempt to make a repair, etc before checking - it voids the warranty

I’m starting to wonder about Warranties in this hobby. If you search the web, there is no contact info for Trigger Sustems except a Sales email that they haven’t answered. Reef2Land has a phone number that they don’t answer and they also don’t seem to answer emails even tho they have a big writeup on their website about being there if you need them after the sale is complete.

That being said, Neptune has been there when needed and BRS actually answers their phone and @randyBRS I would like to thank Tyler ar BRS for trying to help me contact Trigger Systems even though he knew I didn’t get the sump from them. Will definitely go to BRS for the rest of my needs.

BRS has always stood behind things for me as well. Another company believe it or not is amazon.

MnFish1, we must have had very different experiences with Amazon.

Update, Trigger Syetems has responded and are willing to send me a new sump if I can find the leak and send them pictures so they are standing behind their sumps. I have it drained and removed and am trying to get it clean to try and find where the water is coming from.

I didn't read thru the entire thread so no sure if mentioned. You can find this solvent at a hobby shop. It would be another name.

Note - this is not from the companies that advertise on amazon - but products bought directly from amazon. I bought a faulty metal halide light - (was missing parts) - within 2 days - I had a brand new light - didn't need to return the old one.

Totally unrelated to aquariums, but after 5 Amazon employees told me “yes, I see where you selected and paid for a quantity of 4, but you only bought 2. We can’t help you.” I was done with Amazon. It’s been several years but they all said the same thing, which made no sense at all and we’re completely unwilling to help or even offer a sensible explanation of what that meant.

Guess I’ll have to chalk this up as a learning experience. After 2.5 days of sitting full of water my Trigger Systems Sapphire 39 is NOT leaking. I’ve checked all of the plumbing and found no leaks there either. I assume at this point some water got spilled and found it’s way under the sump and kept coming out after I wiped off the table. Going to build a new stand and put some thin closed cell packing foam under it this time so no water can get under it and the foam will provide even support, like I should have done in the first place. I would like to thank all of you for you help with this, now I understand Acrilic much better and how to keep things going in a situation like this. I also want to say that Trigger Systems makes a quality product and David was great to work with. He was willing to send me a new sump immediately upon verification of a leak. I’ll definitely get another Trigger Systems sump when it’s time to for another build.
