I currently have a 75 gallon dt with a 20 long sump. I have a mag7 as a return pump. Both the overflow and the return have ball valves for control. The return is 3/4" and overflow is 1". There are 3 sections one being 11x10 with baffles being 9". I want to get a reef octopus but it says that optimal sump water level depth is 5.5". Is there a way to lower the sump level to accommodate new skimmer without re-doing the baffles?

I thought of that BUT only have 25 1/2" underneath. The skimmer I want is 20" tall BUT the skimmer I really want is 24". I can do the 1000 but would like to do the 2000 but will be unable to raise it...

Please ignore me being an idiot! Lol just realized the issue here! Flow doesn't matter as the height of the water will be determined by baffles regardless:(
