Sump light on 24/7, will this harm snails/hermits?

To keep some of the algae and pellets that make it to my fuge I'd like to put snails and hermits in there. Will a sump light being on 24/7 harm them?

The more logical answer seems like yes, but who knows, not everything is that intuitive in this hobby.

Nope, should be fine. I run mine 24/7, and have snails running all over the place.
