What's a good light to put in my sump to help the cheato grow?

I use one like that, too. Are you using a 6500k CFL bulb?

No I'm trying a led light now. I didn't know if it will work or what would be the best light to use.

get a coral compulsion led par refugium bulb, 2 royal blue, 2 deep red, 2 warm white, 1 neutral white.. and $10 off right now with the coupon code.. I really want to get one but still recovering from christmas..lol.

but as of right now I'm using a clip on light like above with just a cfl, it's what I've used for a long time with good results.. I think my best growth for macros was under a t8 bulb..

Believe it or not I use a regular 60w light bulb and have to throw a handful of chaeto away every couple of weeks. The light shown above is all I have, you can get at home depot for like $5 or something like that.

I used a flood light bulb from Lowes in one of those clip on shop light fixtures. It grew like mad!

I use a floodlight like in the first pic and a 6500k bulb mangroves and cheato love it!

I'm using an LED fixture from aquatraders and it grows like crazy.

I use the green flood light units that are for outdoors, they come with a spike for the ground or you can use the plate to mount on a wall. I mount it on the inside of the stand. The rubber piece keeps salt creep from getting around the socket and use a CFL flood bulb.

I use a 6500K ish CF with the exact same clip on fixture. I have a ridiculous amount of cheato growth! I have actually placed some pompom zenia in my sump and it has survived and grown a little. I figured I would give it a shot.
