Sump mod for a Red Sea reefer 250l

I want to make a refugium in my reefer 250l sump to grow pods. Has anybody used the reefdreams baffles made for the sump? The description on their website is very vague. It says the water gets forced through the refugium then to the skimmer. That won't work for me because I want to grow pods. Anybody have any other ideas like hanging kits from CPR? I know somebody out there has cracked this nut.

Could you change the layout to have the fuge after the skimmer chamber? I'm not familiar with these kits, but I would think placing the fuge after the skimmer would fix the issue. ...maybe someone else will have a better idea.

The baffle kit comes with three attachments to change the position of the baffles, it may be possible to swap the positions of the fuge and the skimmer. I'm not familiar with the 250 sump, but if it's anything like the 170 then the only thing I would say is maybe look into adding some description of an overflow comb to the section of the baffle that the refugium section is flowing over.

Alternatively you could try the ATO mod. You could lead the downpipe to somewhere after the skimmer
