I have a 60 G cube. Will a 10 G sump work for this or will I need larger. Thanks for the help

The more volume of water you can add to system the more stable that system becomes, with that in mind, and as far as the sump size; I would add the biggest that my stand could accommodate relative to the size of the stand.

That's the problem the stank is only 22 1/4 so I'm kind of stuck between a custom one or a 10 g. The one I have sticks out of the back right in the middle of the stand. I would like to get at least one ten gallon in there for a ATO in the future

Understood, than that would be the "limiting factor" for your sump size. A custom, if you want to go that route, would be an alternative to that option.
