Sump question

I am planning on building my next reef tank using a 40 gal breeder due to room restrictions. I have a aqueon sump that i used at my old house but i was looking to upgrade and try a sump with a refugium this time. I know of all the regulars out there trigger , Icecap Etc but i was wondering if anyone can suggest something i dont know about

What is it you want to upgrade? Just adding a refugium?

Consider building your own. I've never liked having other people design my sump/refugium. They never suit my needs. So I buy the glass already cut and assemble it myself. I have a 40g cube DT and a 40g sump/refugium (both DIY). This was how it started 18 months ago.

i spent a lot of time looking around at sump brands. I ended up getting a bashsea sump. Very well built. I also looked at simplicity’s and they looked like a solid unit also.
