So I am setting up a Red Sea Reefer 200 G2 with the Red Sea Reefmat and Red Sea skimmer. In order to fit them in the sump, Red Sea says to modify the sump by removing all the dividers in the sump. Does that create any issues?

I don’t believe you remove them all just the first compartment to fit the reefer mat. Left side and front is what I’ve been replacing on sumps are everyone removed their reefer mats. The filter sock part comes out.

So here is the pic.

Has anyone replaced their Red Sea sump for another one that fits a Reefmat roller for either the 200 or 250?

My brother has a reefmat in his 200. He did no removal of anything of the old sump and just hung the reefmat to the left of the filter sock bracket, but he does not run a skimmer so he had the room. In your case you will need to cut the sections out with the reefmat razor you need to buy from them. It is much thinner than a normal razor.

We both run the reefmat. I built a custom sump just to hold the reefmat 1200. It is a life changing piece of equipment. Just cut you chamber out and set it up and you are going to love it. You can see the fleece is doing its job.

Thank you. I will need to remove the dividers. I am not only using the reefmat but also the Red Sea Reefer Skimmer 300. In order to fit both looks like they need to be removed.
