Sump recommendations for 135 gallon tank?

looking to spend around $200-500.
I don't want skimz , bashea, and I've had eshopps. I want something with two filter socks, a lid where the filters socks are. Obviously custom takes too long to build and can be expensive. Any recommendations? I've been looking at the 34 inch trigger systems blue sapphire or the synergy reef ones but idk

I like both of the options you have listed and if I could buy all over again, I'd buy each one of them again. I have a 30 elite trigger and love it, and have a Synergy ss-34 and love it, though I would tip towards the Synergy for some small reasons:
1. the small details, like marking inches depth. That's super nice to have for skimmers
2. The greater amount of room Synergy sumps give. Nice to just pick the skimmer you want designed for your tank needs and not worry about skimmer depth, etc.
3. Dosing connections
4. John Guest fittings for quick release and adding
5. Built in plug and play for the Ghost or Shadow overflows
Unless you get a Trigger Elite, there isn't a way to keep water depth constant in a skimmer chamber, so it will fluctuate up and down depending on ATO. I'm talking a matter of 1/4 to 1/2 inches though, but still, nice to have the ability to keep water dead constant for the skimmer so it can perform consistently...
Just my thoughts though.
Like I said, I like either choice is great. Why not the bashsea? Have you looked at Vertex? They are expensive though... I'd just stick with the Synergy. So well crafted with such attention to detail that you will love that sump forever.

I think since vertex is more European everything is expensive there so that would explain the over the top prices. I love the prices of bashea but their sumps are too dark dark blue, black, red it doesn't feel welcoming and it feels very claustrophobic TBH.

HAHA! Yep, agreed on both points, no justification for the Vertex prices and bashsea is very dark, doesn't feel open at all, but fills a rock n roll aspect to the hobby.

Synergy is over your budget but I feel it has more features than the Trigger System sumps. Only thing the Trigger wins on is really just price, it's slightly cheaper. I personally like the way Synergy oriented their drain lines and filter socks over the Emerald series of Trigger (Ruby is not worth the money to me). The Synergy sump also comes with a bigger skimmer chamber, etched water level marking, as well as having a hole drilled for return pump so you line up your return pump better on plumbing. With macro algae reactor you won't really be needing a refugium chamber plus I personally find the tiny space inside most sumps worthless for running refugiums anyways. Hope that helps you decide =D.

*edit* Forgot to mention Synergy also have holes drilled out for making cable management less of a pain as well.

This is going on a fish only but if it does get converted into a reef then that makes sense. But I want it to look nice as well I like the blue trim on the trigger systems but I'd like a lid on the return pump chamber.
