Sump refugium size

Does the size of your sump affect the ph of your tank ? I am having trouble keeping the number above 7.80. Also wondering if the light is adequate?

I'm sure it has some affect but I dont think it would ever throw your numbers off. I use a desk led lamp for my refuge. It doesnt matter as long as things are growing. I find the best spectrum is yellow or red light for Marco algea. whats the tank look like 7.8 could be ok as long as things look happy and it's a constant ph. Chasing numbers can cause large swings and make things even worse. I also leave my light on for most of the day an night to outcompete my display tank.
